Order or renew garden waste collection

We provide a fortnightly garden waste bin collection service for an annual fee.

The garden waste collection service is for residents who maintain their own gardens. It cannot be used by gardeners or grounds maintenance companies who are employed privately, or by management agencies to carry out a service of gardening and/or ground clearance as this will need to be removed privately. 

For residents with a private garden within communal grounds who do maintain their own garden, can contact us and we will review your request in accordance with our guidelines.

If you sign up for the paid service, you get a brown wheeled bin that: 

• Is collected every 2 weeks on your garden waste collection day throughout the year
• Holds up to 240 litres of garden waste
• Has the current year’s stickers attached 

If you don’t wish to join the garden waste bin collection service, you can buy brown sacks.

How garden waste collection stickers work

• Each year a different coloured sticker is displayed on the bin.
• The sticker shows that you have paid for the current collection year.
• Your bin will only be emptied if the annual charge has been paid and a current sticker is clearly displayed on your bin.
• Place your annual sticker directly on to the back of your wheelie bin, under the handle.
• Put out your bin with the handles and sticker facing the road on your collection day, to make sure your bin gets emptied.

Cost

The annual subscription is £90, running from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026

This year there is no discount for joining later in the year

The last date an order of stickers and bins can be placed is 31 December.  

Delivery

Bins ordered:  

• By 15 March will be delivered by 1 April for the start of the new contract
• After 15 March will be delivered within 15 working days

Due to higher than expected demand for garden waste bins the delivery time is currently 4 weeks from placing your order. Thank you for your patience.

Orders for our garden waste subscription service will resume in March 2026.
