Brown sacks
You can buy compostable brown sacks that:
- Hold 75 litres of garden waste
- Cost £2 each
- Are available to pick up in person from one of our hubs
Paying online does not result in a delivery to your property.
Any garden waste presented in non-official bags, containers or unbranded sacks will not be taken.
How it works
- Book your collection at least two working days before your usual garden waste collection day
- Wait for your email confirmation, which will confirm your collection day. This will be sent by the end of the next working day after booking
- Put your sacks out on your confirmed collection day
If you have a garden waste bin subscription, there’s no need to book a collection for your sacks, just place it by your bin on the scheduled collection day.
Buy brown sacks online
- Provide your email address to receive an email confirmation of your receipt
- Take your receipt to one of the local hubs detailed on the next page to collect the bags in person.
If you have no email, call 0118 974 6000 and select option 2 for the waste team.
