Report and pay for a broken or missing bin
To make your bin last longer, please make sure that it isn’t overfull, as compacted waste can damage the bin during the emptying process.
However, if your bin is broken or missing, you can request a replacement garden waste bin if you are a current member of the garden waste scheme. The replacement bin charge is £44.
We will only collect broken garden waste bins when exchanging for a new bin.
Unless your brown bin is missing a wheel or lid, please ‘make do and mend’ if possible - damaged bins can be used with running repairs (such as duct tape for splits). This maximises the life of the bin and helps reduce the environmental impact.
Once a replacement bin has been requested and paid for, the damaged bin should be left:
- Empty
- At the edge of your property
- Visible from the highway
*Please note that if the bin isn’t left out for exchange when we deliver the new bin, we will not return to collect it.
The replacement bin will be delivered within 10 working days.
Report an undelivered garden waste bin
Report an undelivered garden waste bin if:
- Following successful payment, you have not received the bin within the service level agreement of 10 working days.
- We have confirmed delivery, but the bin has not arrived.
