Leisure centre
In 2020, the old leisure centre and fitness centre was demolished to make space for a brand-new, larger leisure centre.
In July 2022, the new state-of-the-art Wokingham Leisure Centre at Carnival Hub opened its doors. It is run by Places Leisure and includes:
- Swimming pools
- A children’s splash pad
- A health suite (sauna, salt and steam rooms)
- 120 station fitness suite
- Fitness studios, including a group cycling studio
- A café
- Soft play
- A dual-purpose hall for sports or 400-seat cultural performances
- A specialist gym for people with long-term health conditions
Carnival Hub is one of the UK’s most energy-efficient leisure centres with a fully electric heating system fed by air source heat pumps and more than 800 solar panels on its roof.
