The development of Carnival Hub
Carnival Hub is a brand-new leisure centre run by Places Leisure and is also the new home to Wokingham Library which was previously located in Denmark Street.
Originally known as Carnival Pool, the leisure centre in Wellington Road was built in the early 1990s. It was dated and in desperate need of modernisation.
The regeneration at the Carnival site had two phases. The first phase was the construction of the multi-storey car park and new bowling alley. The second phase included the demolition of the leisure centre and build of a new leisure centre, library and apartments.
