How to report a concern

Before submitting a report

  1. Please check our latest Traffic Management request list to ensure that your request is not a duplication of a request we have already or are currently investigating.
  2. Please check if your road is adopted by us, by checking the map and searching under 'Roads & Verges We Maintain'. Un-adopted and private roads do not sit within the councils' legal jurisdiction to implement requests. These will need to be taken up by the landowner or site developer directly.
  3. Please ensure you have evidence that can be uploaded to support your report. This can include photographs, traffic reports, or any other documents to support your repot (eg. a Community Infrastructure Levy)
  4. Speak to your local town and parish councils to find out if they support your concern and if others in your community have raised the same concerns. Any suggestions that we consider will require local support as they will be consulted on if our team deem it a valid concern.

Reporting a concern

It is important that when reporting a concern, you explain what the issue is (speeding, a crossing, pedestrian and/or cyclist safety) and the outcome you would like to see

Your concerns will be assessed by an officer and they will recommend an appropriate course of action based on expert knowledge, results from thorough investigations and council policy. You will receive a response indicating the outcome of this assessment.
