What we are unable to assist with
We are not responsible for the below functions:
- Private roads - you'll need to check the Land Registry to see who's responsible for the private road.
- Private car parks - you'll need to contact the owner of the car parks.
- Motorways or trunk roads other than the A329M - you'll need to contact National Highways.
- Speed enforcement - you'll need to contact Thames Valley Police.
- Community Speed Watch - you'll need to contact Community Speed Watch – to see if there is a group already in your area or contact Thames Valley Police.
- Speed Camera Enquiries - These are owned and maintained by Thames Valley Police.
Requests we cannot approve
- Highways Mirrors – These are no longer approved by Department for Transport to be placed on the highway and cannot be obtained.
- Speed Indication Devices (SIDs) – We do not offer permanent SIDs. SIDs are rotated across the Borough to priority areas when identified.
- Vehicle Number Plates – We cannot deal with requests that just report vehicle number plates.
Temporary road closures
- Anything relating to temporary road closures due to Roadworks sits with our Streetworks team and can be contacted via the Highways General Enquiry form, under ‘Roadworks and Closures’.
