Earley Station Footbridge Refurbishment

The footbridge linking Earley and Woodley across the A3290 and railway line is due to undergo essential refurbishment works.

The structure is approaching the end of its serviceable life and requires significant maintenance to ensure it remains safe and operational for future use. Inspections have identified issues including concrete deterioration, cracking, corrosion and deterioration of bridge components.

The maintenance activities will address these defects and extend the bridge's operational life. 

The bridge remains safe to use and is subject to enhanced inspections and monitoring whilst the project is being progressed.
