Station access, parking and travel arrangements

Access to Earley Station

The maintenance works are to the footbridge linking Woodley and Earley across the A3290 and railway.

The footbridge does not serve the station platforms, so there will be no change to the existing drop-off arrangements at Earley Station.

Station car park closure

The station car park will be unavailable as it is required as a secure construction compound to support the safe delivery of the works.

The southern bridge ramp, which is immediately adjacent to the car park, also needs to be replaced.

However, pedestrian access to the parcel locker and clothing collection bin will remain available.

Alternative parking

The project team identified the Winnersh Triangle Park & Ride facility as an alternative parking location during the works period. 

Users should note that it is approximately 1.5 miles from Earley Station. 

Shuttle bus services

A dedicated shuttle service is not included within the project scope and is not planned. 

The Council will continue to monitor the impacts of the closure.
