Wellbeing support for young people

If things feel tough right now, or you just need someone to listen, there is support available for you. Whether you want to talk about your feelings, get advice, or connect with others who understand, the services below are here to help.

You can choose support that works for you - online, face to face, anonymously, or with the same trusted person each time. You don’t have to deal with things on your own.

These local services are here to support you, with help you can access nearby or online.

ARC Counselling offers up to 9 weekly counselling sessions for young people aged 11 and over, with the same counsellor each time. Sessions can be face to face or online.

Tellmi is a safe, anonymous app for young people aged 11-18 to talk about anything that’s on their mind and get support. Moderators pre-check everything to keep you safe and in-house counsellors are always on hand if you need extra support.

Togetherness offers online information that can help you understand what’s going on in your mind and emotions as you go through your teenage years.

The Mental Health Support Team (MHST) provides support for young people attending selected schools in the Wokingham Borough who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.

This also includes pupils on the Virtual School roll, looked after children, and young people who are not in education, employment or training (NEET). A full list of supported schools is available on the BHFT website.

The CAMHS Getting Help Service supports young people up to the age of 18 who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties. This may include feeling low, worried, or anxious, which can affect day‑to‑day life. The service is available to those who are unable to access the MHST service because their school is not part of the scheme. A full list of supported schools is available on the BHFT website.

Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) offers support for young people and their families who are experiencing emotional, behavioural or mental health difficulties
