How children, young people and their families are involved

It's very important that children and young people are involved in the annual review process, and that their views, wishes and feelings are included.

Some children and young people might want to join the whole meeting. Others might prefer to join part of the meeting, or they might want to write, draw or share their views with someone they trust before the meeting.

Children and young people can also get help from an advocate. An advocate can:

  • help you understand your rights
  • make sure your views about your care and support are listened to at meetings
