Message in a bottle guide
If you take medicine or have a health condition, it’s important that emergency workers know about it if you get sick at home.
Message in a Bottle is a simple way to share this information.
What goes in the bottle:
- Your full name
- Your doctor’s name, address and phone number
- Any medical conditions you have
- Any medicines you take
- Any allergies
- Who to contact (family or friends)
- If you have pets, what help they need
What to do:
- Fill out the form with your details.
- Put the form in the special bottle.
- Put the bottle in your fridge.
- Stick the green cross sticker on your front door so emergency workers know to look in your fridge.
Where to get a bottle:
- Pharmacies in Wokingham
- Tesco Wokingham
- Morrisons supermarket
- Some libraries in Wokingham
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service are also offering them when they make house visits
Visit the Lions message in a bottle website for further information about the scheme, order a bottle to be posted to your home (postage will need to be paid) or download a new form to go in your current bottle.
