Caring for someone can feel good. You might enjoy helping and being there for them.
It can leave you feeling tired, both physically and emotionally.
When you're busy every day, it's easy to forget about your own health. You might be so focused on others that you don’t notice how you're feeling. This page is here to help. We’ve put together some simple tips and ideas to support your wellbeing.
Talk to someone
- Speak to a friend or family member - let them know how you're feeling. Talking helps.
- Register as a carer with your GP - ask for a chat about your health and support needs.
- Connect with other carers - share experiences through Carers Connect an online forum for Carers UK members. Sign up to be a member for free.
Get local support
- Visit the Wokingham Charity and Community Hub at Waterford House, Wokingham town centre for advice, guidance, and a friendly ear.
- Join the Wokingham Carers Partnership for information, advice and support.
