Charging for non residential services

These pages will explain how we calculate charges and how to pay your contribution.

For an easy read version of this information, please see our Easy Read guide.

What are non-residential services?

These include most services provided to an adult who lives in their own home, such as:

  • Homecare services
  • Going to a day centre
  • Respite and short break services
Backdating of adult social care support

Adult Social Care can only look at financial and care support from the date you contact the Health and Social Care Hub. If you arrange care before then, it will be treated as private care and can’t be backdated.
