Exploring autism for yourself or someone you support
If you're curious about autism or neurodivergence, want to understand your strengths, or would like to meet others with similar experiences, you're in the right place. You can also join our local workshops designed to help you feel more confident in everyday life.
Visit the Workshops to help you thrive in everyday life page to learn more.
Some people find getting an autism diagnosis helpful. Others simply identify as autistic without having a formal diagnosis - and that’s okay.
You don’t need a diagnosis to start getting support.
- Adults: Find guidance and support on the Autism support for adults page.
- Children and young people (under 17): Visit the Autism section on the SEND Local Offer for helpful information.
- Looking for wider support? Take a look at the National autism resources page for links to national organisations.
Some people choose to have an assessment and diagnosis. You can find out how to get started on our Autism Assessment page.
