What is neurodiversity?

  • Neurodiversity means people’s brains work in different ways.
  • This is normal and natural.

What is a neurotypes?

  • Everyone has a brain type.
  • Your brain type is how your brain understands things and reacts to them.
  • It is part of who you are, like your race, gender, or sexuality.

  • Neurotypical: Your brain works in the way most people expect.
  • Neurodiverse group: A group of people with different brain types.

Examples

  • Autism is one type of neurodivergence.
