How we deal with pothole reports

We won't ignore any reports. However, we have adopted a risk-based approach to determine whether to take action and what action to take.

The level of risk from a pothole depends on:

  • Depth
  • Surface area
  • Safety of road users
  • Location and usage of the road

To track an existing report

On the map, select 'track a fault' and enter your reference number. Alternatively, make a general highways enquiry.
