Medieval Jousting weekend to make a triumphant return
Tickets available for 12 and 13 September
Get ready to see knights clash, magnificent bird of prey displays and family-fun activities as the Medieval Jousting Weekend makes a triumphant return to Dinton Pastures Country Park on 12 and 13 September.
The event was held for the first time last year and this year’s line-up is looking to be even more exciting. There’s medieval jousting on horses, martial arts, a bird of prey display flight with a chance to handle some birds, children’s donkey rides, archery sessions, arrow break sessions (to be booked separately), an entertainment village, live music, a fun fair, a food market, local crafts and more.
Returning favourites The Knights of Middle England from Warwickshire are back to transform Dinton Pastures into a spectacular medieval arena. Their team of expert horsemen and women from varying equestrian, stunt and performance backgrounds will deliver a thrilling display of jousting, skill and horsemanship.
The Exiles are also back and you can meet them at their camp to hear tales from the old, watch martial art demonstrations and learn about how they survived the Medieval Times.
Tickets are available to buy on the Dinton Pastures website. A ticket covers a full day from 10am to 4pm. Daily ticket prices are:
- Adult £8.50
- Child: £4.50
- Family (two adults and three children): £25
- Carers: £7.20
- Children aged two years and under are free

There is an option to buy a discounted car parking ticket for £6 in advance on the Dinton Pastures website, plus an option to hire a bell tent to camp on-site.
Swooping back this year is family-run business Berkshire Birds of Prey from Bracknell. Birds taking part in the flying display include Lightning McQueen (a Harris hawk), Bella (a barn owl), Apollo (a peregrine), Stitch (a long-eared owl), Noddy (a kestrel), Pumba (a tawny owl) and Fagin (a western screech owl). Please note if the wind is too strong, the display flight will not go ahead.
Visitors can also get up close and personal to the birds of prey by taking part in a memorable handling experience.
There will be plenty of food and drink available too. Visitors can enjoy a barbecue by JL Catering and drinks from The Happy Bee Coffee Truck, The Rollin' Inn Bar and much more.
