Making a referral

Referrals relating to mental health and emotional wellbeing for children and young people can be made via CAMHS Central Point of Contact (CPE).

What happens after referral

CPE will be responsible for screening all referrals.
If the child or young person attends a Wokingham Borough school supported by a Mental Health Support Team (MHST) and a Getting Help offer is appropriate, the referral will be routed to the MHST for timely, local support.
For children and young people attending a school that does not yet have support from MHST, referrals will be allocated to a Getting Help clinician who will undertake assessment and provide relevant intervention.
