Making a referral
Referrals relating to mental health and emotional wellbeing for children and young people can be made via CAMHS Central Point of Contact (CPE).
What happens after referral
- CPE will be responsible for screening all referrals.
- If the child or young person attends a Wokingham Borough school supported by a Mental Health Support Team (MHST) and a Getting Help offer is appropriate, the referral will be routed to the MHST for timely, local support.
- For children and young people attending a school that does not yet have support from MHST, referrals will be allocated to a Getting Help clinician who will undertake assessment and provide relevant intervention.
