Children in Care Council
Giving a voice to care-experienced children and young people
We are a group of individuals who are growing up in care, and we represent all care-experienced children and young people in the Wokingham Borough.
We aim to give everyone a voice around issues that matter to them and make sure your voice is heard by those making the decisions.
Our groups
We have 2 groups:
- Aspire Juniors for children aged 7 to 12
- Aspire for children and young people aged 12 to 18
Join us
We meet up every month in person. We’d love to have you come along and join our group.

Wokingham's Pledge
The Pledge is a promise that Wokingham Borough Council makes to our child in care. It sets out things children and young people should receive whilst being in care. It covers where you live, your social worker, your health, and your education.

Our Pledge was written by the Children in Care Council in consultation with other Children in Care and Care Leavers.
