Help when you move into your new home
Your support
Someone from your support team will help you live as independently as possible.
They will support you to make your own choices.
We will check in with you to see how things are going and change your support if needed.
What you might find in your home
When you move in, your home might already have things like:
- carpets
- curtains
- furniture
- kitchen items like a fridge or cooker
Your landlord should tell you who is responsible for looking after these things.
If your landlord is responsible, you might need to pay a service charge.
This could be paid from your own money, or through Universal Credit or Housing Benefit.
If your landlord is not responsible, they should give you a letter to say they have gifted these items to you.
Getting help to buy things for your home
