Our role
We investigate and remove fly-tipped waste found on council owned or managed land.
We use enforcement powers, including fixed penalty notices to address:
- Littering
- Fly-tipping
- Graffiti and fly-posting
- Dog fouling
- Misuse of litter bins
Enforcement action helps protect the environment and ensures fairness for residents who dispose of waste responsibly.

Make note of:
- The date, time and location
- The vehicle registration, the model, make and colour of the vehicle (a photograph of the vehicle if possible)
- A description of the person
- The items being fly-tipped
You may be asked to provide a witness statement should legal action be taken.
