Dropped kerb costs and timescales
Costs
A non-refundable processing fee of £220.30 must be paid for an application to be considered.
This covers administration costs, including:
- Initial site visit and inspection
- General advice
- Quote preparation
On receipt of your application and associated £220.30 fee, an engineer will visit the site to determine its suitability. Following this assessment we will write back to you with the outcome.
This letter will consist of one of the following:
- Site approval for your vehicle crossing works; this will be valid for a period of 12 months from the date of the letter
- Rejection of your application and justification for this outcome
Should your application for a vehicle crossing be approved, our traffic management team will provide a quote for us to carry out these works on your behalf.
Timescales
- After an application has been submitted and the initial fee paid, it will be reviewed and a site inspection arranged.
- You will be notified of the outcome in writing following the inspection.
- This is usually within 40 working days of the application being submitted, although this timescale can vary.
- Once you have confirmed you wish to proceed, and have paid the fee in full, installation will be scheduled. This is usually within 4 months of receiving payment.
Adverse weather, such as snow or heavy rain, can impact on timescales.
