Land available for development

As part of any local plan process, it is important to have a clear understanding of the land which is potentially available for different types of development.

Call for sites 2026

To support the Local Plan 2045 we ran a call for sites between 6 July and 1 September 2026, where landowners, developers and other interested parties were invited to suggest sites they believe have potential for development. All suggested sites will be assessed for their suitability for development, availability and whether they’re achievable by 2045.

If you wish to promote land outside of the call for sites window, please contact the Planning Policy team at LP2045@wokingham.gov.uk. 

It is important to note that suggesting a site does not mean that it will be assessed as suitable for development, be allocated for development, or given planning permission.
