Core Strategy
The Core Strategy is a high-level document setting out our strategy for managing development until 2026. This includes policies and strategies to provide new housing, schools, roads, places to work and other services.
It was adopted by the council on 29 January 2010.

Managing Development Delivery (MDD)
The Managing Development Delivery local plan builds on the strategy set out in our Core Strategy and sets out more detailed policies for managing development.
It was adopted by the council on 21 February 2014.

Joint Minerals and Waste Plan
Wokingham Borough, Bracknell Forest, Reading Borough and the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Councils (collectively referred to as ‘Central and Eastern Berkshire Authorities’) have produced a Joint Minerals and Waste Plan. The Joint Plan sets out the strategy for managing minerals and waste related development, including the extraction of minerals such as sand and gravel, and disposal of waste and recycling.
It was adopted by the council on 19 January 2023.
