Unlocking the gates

The entrance barrier at Thames Valley Park and Ride will close at 10pm and reopen at 6am.

Car parks are open only from and to the advertised time. If gates are open after these times, don't assume they will stay open as your car could get locked in.

If you are locked in there will be a charge of £120 for the gate to be unlocked.

Bus service

Reading Buses’ 300 park and ride service to the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading runs every 20 minutes during the daytime from Monday to Friday.

The 300 also calls at Mereoak park and ride, which is run by Reading Borough Council.

Bus fares from this site do not include parking, which must be paid separately.

• Up to 4 hours between 6am and 6pm (daytime): £1.00
• Any time from 6pm to 6am (overnight): £1.00
• Over 4 hours and up to 24 hours, including any part of the daytime period: £4.00
• Multi-day ticket (over 24 hours, maximum 5 days): £20 per 24-hour period, starting from midnight

Whether you’re using one of the bus services or just parking, you can pay for your parking on arrival in the car park using the payment machines.

Concessionary bus pass holders must still pay for their parking using the machines.
