I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request the following information regarding fines handed out to parents for taking their children out of school without permission.

Calming/secure/sensory/quiet rooms refers to rooms within a special school where children are left, however briefly, in isolation.

1. How many children under the care of social services have died between 1st January 2020-Now. Please can this be broken down by year up to and including any data for January 2024.
None for all years.

1. Can you please provide the number of children taken into care by the council where a central reason for the decision was the family's homelessness, in each of the last five financial years (2018-19, 2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-22, 2022-23).

1. How many children/young people within your Local Authority with an EHCP have no school or setting named in Section I of their Plan (as at Jan 24)?
There are two occasions where a CYP would not have a setting named in their plan:

1. How many council-employed gas engineers do you have in your council at the moment in total?
None. The Council do not employ this job role.

2. How many council-employed gas engineers do you have in your council at the moment who are males?
Not applicable.

A survey by ADASS in 2017 concluded: “In 2016/17, on average 268 Mental Health Act assessments were carried out per 100,000 population.” However, this information is obviously now dated and we would like to undertake some refreshed benchmarking.
