Events and support across the borough

Carers Week is a national campaign to recognise unpaid carers and help people access support. This year's theme is Building Carer Friendly Communities.

In Wokingham Borough, thousands of people care for a family member, friend or neighbour. Many don't see themselves as carers at first - they may simply think of themselves as a partner, parent, child or friend.

Welcome to Carers Week – Health & Social Care Webinar, Monday 8 June, 10 to11am (online)

Carers Week raises awareness of the vital role unpaid carers play, the challenges they face - including inequality, isolation, and missed opportunities - and this engaging session offers a chance for carers and professionals alike to learn about support, wellbeing, rights, and best practice while connecting and sharing experiences. Register to join the webinar.
