Get married and win a wedding at Dinton Pastures

Happy couples can now say ‘I do’ at Dinton Pastures Country Park in Hurst as Wokingham Borough Council has approved it to be a licensed wedding venue. Dinton is now taking bookings and has its first lakeside wedding booked this September. 

The picturesque Dinton Pastures Country Park can now be used as a venue for marriage and civil partnership ceremonies, in the presence of a Superintendent Registrar and Registrar.

Executive member for Resident Services, Inclusion and Fighting Poverty, Cllr Rachel Bishop-Firth said:

“This is fantastic news for happy couples as they can choose to have a civil partnership or marriage ceremony within the stunning grounds at Dinton Pastures. This supports the Communities Vision ambition of making it easy for people to access the things they want and need. 

“We are thrilled to have a wedding booking already. There is a plethora of amazing options including cost-effective packages to help people create the wedding of their dreams. If you’re recently engaged or looking to get married, I encourage you to book a tour at Dinton. I would like to extend my thanks to our Registrar’s Team for conducting site visits and checks prior to approving the venue license.”

Win a wedding competition

Dinton Pastures is running a fantastic competition for one happy couple to hold their wedding reception at the country park’s conservatory and gardens. The package is based on 50 guests and includes hire of The Coffee House from 4pm to 11pm, on-site team assisting on the day, glass of prosecco on arrival, a two-course set menu or BBQ, half a bottle of wine person, tables and chairs, tablecloths, crockery, cutlery and glassware, table centrepieces and complimentary free car parking.

Successful Wedding Fair

The exciting news follows on from the Dinton Pastures’ first, successful Wedding Fair held on Sunday 11 May, in collaboration with Berkshire Wedding Fairs. More than 100 happy couples attended the festival-inspired event alongside wedding suppliers including photographers, wedding cake bakers, florists, makeup and hair artists, marquee hire, live music and chef demonstrations. 

Wedding options and packages 

Dinton Pastures can accommodate both indoor and outdoor ceremonies and has three wedding packages available. Registrar’s fees are not included and would be additional on all packages.

The Twilight Package is suitable for up to 50 guests at The Coffee House’s Conservatory. Pricing starts from £65 per person. 

There are two Land Package options perfect for couples wanting an outdoor rustic, festival or woodland-inspired wedding.

Land Package option one includes the hire of the Events Field from 12pm the day before to 12pm the day after the wedding. It costs £1,000 including VAT.

Land Package option two includes the hire of the Events Field from 8am until 11pm for one day. It costs £350 including VAT. 

The Lakeside Package includes a ceremony by the lakeside or in The Coffee House Gardens for up to 20 guests, until 6pm. It costs £250 including VAT. 

The Coffee House is suitable for intimate, indoor weddings of up to 50 guests. For larger indoor weddings, a stretch tent or marquee can be hired in the grounds at Lea Heath field.

Dinton Pastures offers several unique, outdoor wedding options including a jetty for the ceremony, beach for guests, land hire and camping areas for guests staying overnight. There is also an option for a special teepee package for people wanting to spend the night under the canopy of Dinton Pastures.

Dinton Pastures Country Park and Activity Centre can now be regularly used as a venue for the solemnisation of marriages under the provision of Sections 46A and 46B of the Marriage Act 1949 and for the registration of Civil Partnerships under the provision of Section 6 (3A)(A) of the Civil Partnership Act 2004.
