There’s lots of festive events and activities happening at Dinton Pastures Country Park in Wokingham Borough, this Christmas.

2025 Christmas Calendar

Every Saturday and Sunday from 29 November to 21 December, 10am to 4pm - Real Christmas Trees for sale
This year, we have teamed up with local supplier, Needlefresh, where you can buy a real Christmas Tree from the Activity Centre at Dinton Pastures Country Park.
You can have fun picking your real Christmas tree and continue the excitement by decorating it at home.
Options and prices are:
- 120/150cm height - £25
- 150/180cm height - £36
- 180/210cm height - £48
- 210/240cm height - £58
- Hessian wrapped Saplings - £2.95
- Display Stand - £18.99
All available subject to availability. Dates of tree sales opening may vary dependent on demand.
The Dinton Activity Centre will be open every Saturday and Sunday from 29 November to 21 December for you to purchase your Christmas tree.
Out of hours appointments for collection can be arranged in advance by calling (0118) 9237 8983 or by email.

Wednesday 3 to Tuesday 23 December, 3.30pm to 5.30pm - Christmas tea with Santa at Dinton Pastures
This holiday season, step into a world of warmth, cheer, and festive magic with Father Christmas by joining him for a delightful Christmas tea at The Coffee House at Dinton Pastures.
You can enjoy a Christmas tea surrounded by twinkling lights, seasonal treats and the jolly spirit of the season.
Father Christmas will be there to share stories, listen to your Christmas wishes and perhaps even give you a sneak peek at his naughty or nice list.
Here's what is included:
- Arrive at 3.30pm
- Festive tea served at 4pm - fish finger and chips, sausage and chips or chicken nuggets and chips. Vegetarian option available. Jelly for desert
- Hot cocoa with a Christmas cookie
- Meet Father Christmas - a chance to take photos, chat about your wishes and receive a special gift
- Activity - story time
Hot and cold drinks and cakes available for adults attending with children.
Limited spots available. This event runs on selected dates during 3 to 23 December. Tickets cost £15 per child.

Saturdays and Sundays from 6 to 21 December - Santa's Grotto and Christmas crafting session at Dinton Activity Centre
Join us for a Christmas Crafting session, with cookies and hot chocolate whilst your excitement builds in anticipation for your visit to Santa's Grotto.
Make sure you have your list ready and be sure to tell him if you've been naughty or nice (mind you, he will know!).
Santa's Grotto visits are five minutes long and available on the below dates:
- Saturday 6 December
- Sunday 7 December
- Saturday 13 December
- Sunday 14 December
- Saturday 20 December
- Sunday 21 December
Tickets cost £16 per child. You can choose how many children want to see Santa (up to four children, one family per slot) on the booking site.
You only need to book for children. Parents do not need to book.
Upon buying your ticket, we will ask some questions to make the event more magical.
Bring your camera or phone and you can take your own photographs with Santa.
Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your Santa’s Grotto slot for your crafting session.

Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 December, 11am to 4pm - Festive Fair at Dinton Activity Centre
Join us for a weekend of fun, Christmas cheer and activities at the Festive Fair at Dinton Pastures.
The fair is free to attend and run in collaboration with JL Events.
Here's what you can expect:

- Arts and crafts
- Food and drink

SOLD OUT - Thursday 6 and 13 November, 6.30pm to 8.30pm, Christmas glass workshop at Dinton Activity Centre
Enjoy a relaxing evening creating a couple of beautiful, Christmas themed fused artworks. You can choose your own colours and designs and shown how to create your own unique masterpiece.
The event begins with an introduction and talk on what you will be making, followed by a relaxed, informal evening where you can work in groups of friends or make some new ones too.
No experience is necessary. The Christmas workshop is suitable for pre-teens and adults. Numbers are limited so book soon to secure your place.
Your artwork will be taken away on the night to be fired in a kiln and will be back at Dinton usually within a week for collection.
Tickets cost £35, which includes parking and making two Christmas decorations. A selection of soft drinks will be provided.

SOLD OUT - Tuesday 2 and Thursday 4 December, 6.30pm to 9pm - Christmas wreath making workshop at Dinton Activity Centre
Nothing beats a fresh, handmade wreath on your door at Christmas time and it's even better if you’ve made it yourself. We have teamed up with local florist Sally from Polly's Garden in Wokingham to deliver this Christmas wreath making workshop.
It takes place at The Coffee House at Dinton Activity Centre, you will be welcomed with a glass of something festive and mince pies. The class lasts around two and a half hours. All experience levels are welcome.

SOLD OUT - Sunday 14 December, from 10.30am - Barnes' Fitness Santa Dash at Dinton Pastures
Mark your calendars as Barnes' Fitness popular Santa Dash returns this Christmas.
The annual tradition will see Dinton Pastures Country Park transformed by fundraising runners dressed as Father Christmas.
Taking part in the run will help children in need, as £2 of each entry will be donated directly to First Days Children’s Charity.
There is no minimum age requirement. You and your children can choose to complete a 2km Mini-Dash or a full 5km Santa Dash together, both of which are not timed.
Both courses start and finish at the Duck Feeding area by the playground.
The 5km course is a figure of 8 in an anti-clockwise direction, you cross the bridge between Black Swan and White Swan lake twice.
The 2km course is a clockwise direction course running alongside White Swan Lake, over the bridge between the two lakes and then back alongside Black Swan Lake.
It is festive and suitable for the whole family, with a medal, mince pie and chocolate for those who cross the finish line.
Mulled wine is available to buy from the First Days Children's Charity van.
