Applications now open for primary, infant and junior school places

Choosing the right school is an important decision for families. If your child was born between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022, they will be eligible for a reception place starting September 2026. 

Children currently in year 2 at an infant school will also need to transfer to a junior school in September 2026. 

Applications are now open for parents to apply for their child’s school place at primary, infant or junior school. All applications must be submitted by 15 January 2026. 

Applications received after the closing date will be considered late, which may affect the school places offered for your child.

In order to support you in choosing schools to apply for, you may wish to attend some parent tours that are currently being offered by schools. These tours are a great opportunity to see the school environment and ask questions.
