We welcome you taking part in the democratic process. There are many ways you can get involved.
Come to a committee meeting
You can attend any public meeting - to find out when meetings are, view our meetings calendar.

You can ask a question at meetings of Council, Executive, Overview and Scrutiny Committees, Audit Committee and Licensing and Appeals Committee. For more details read our how to ask a question page.

Documents on your tablet or phone
You can keep up to date with committee meeting news and our Constitution by downloading our Mod.Gov app (application) for Apple and android tablets or phones.
Contact your councillor
You can contact the councillor for your ward to find out more about council services and give them feedback. To find out who your local councillor is visit our councillor and MPs page.

Take part in scrutiny
Our overview and scrutiny committees plan an important role in monitoring decisions and improving local services. To find out more, visit how decisions are made and scrutinised.
We encourage your involvement. You can suggest that a subject or issue you are concerned about is reviewed as part of the scrutiny process.
Submit an e-petition

Vote in elections
You can vote in local elections and be part of deciding who councillors will be.
