The following organisations and charities provide information, advice and support with SEND.

Togetherness: free online wellbeing support

Togetherness is a free online learning platform families who live in Wokingham Borough.

It offers NHS‑informed courses to help with emotional wellbeing. 

There is tailored content for families of children with additional needs, including support on:

  • understanding your child with additional needs
  • moving up to secondary school for children with additional needs

Early Years Panel: help for children under 5 

Wokingham Borough Council's Early Years Panel is a group of professionals from different services who meet once a month. They look at how to help children under 5 who have, or might have special educational needs and disabilities. 

As a parent, you can send in a referral to ask for support.

ASSIST

Wokingham Borough Council’s Autism Spectrum Service for Information Support and Training Team (ASSIST) offers workshops, information and support about autism.

FIRST

Wokingham Borough Council’s Family Intervention, Resources and Support Team (FIRST) provides information, workshops and training around sleep, anxiety and behaviour.

ASD Family Help

ASD Family Help offers workshops for parents and carers who live or work in Wokingham Borough, as well as clubs and activities for children and young people. No diagnosis is needed.

Parenting Special Children

Parenting Special Children offers workshops for parents and carers as well as support groups and courses for children and young people.

SEND Voices Wokingham

SEND Voices Wokingham is the independent parent carer forum for Wokingham Borough. They have created some PDF guides about local organisations and services that offer support.
