ChatHealth and school nursing service

ChatHealth 

You can text a school nurse for advice if you are worried about your child or young person aged 5 to 19. 

Young people aged 11 to 19 can also text a school nurse themselves.

The service is private and confidential.

You can ask about anything that is worrying you, including:

  • relationships
  • healthy eating
  • drugs or alcohol
  • anxiety or stress
  • bullying
  • self-harm
  • body changes
  • sleep
  • any other concern

School nursing service

Berkshire Healthcare’s school nursing teams support the health and wellbeing of children and young people aged 5 to 19. 

The service is for children who go to school in Wokingham, Bracknell Forest, Reading and West Berkshire. They also provide support for children who are home educated.

Accessing the service

For advice and support, you will need to fill out a referral form.

Young people aged 13 to 19, parents, carers, schools and other agencies can refer.
