Know your rights and get support with Coram Voice

If you’re leaving care, it’s important to know that you have rights and support available to help you become independent. Coram Voice is here to help you understand your rights, access the support you’re entitled to, and feel more confident about becoming independent.

Whether you need advice about housing, money, education, or just someone to guide you through the process, Coram Voice offers friendly support, helpful resources, and expert help to speak up for your rights.

Children’s Commissioner – Help at Hand

A free, confidential advice and support service for children and young people in care, those with a social worker, and care leavers up to age 25. They can provide guidance, answer questions about rights, and help resolve issues by liaising with professionals.

Request your personal care records

You also have the right to request your personal care records from the council to help you understand your time in care. You can talk to your PA or complete our online request form.
