What is housing with extra support?
Housing with extra support means you can live on your own or share a home with others, and still get help when you need it.
You make your own choices and have privacy, but with safety measures and care services that make life safer and easier.
Support can include:
- Staff nearby to help you
- Emergency alarms for quick help
- Changes to your home like grab rails or step-free access
- Help with daily tasks such as cooking or cleaning
This is sometimes referred to as specialist accommodation.
