Supported living: shared housing or your own space
Supported Living can be a good choice if you want to live more independently but still need help all day and night.
There are two types of Supported Living:
Shared Houses
- You live with 3 or 4 other people.
- You have your own bedroom.
- You share spaces like the kitchen and living room.
- You also share support with the other people.
Single Homes
- You live in your own flat or bungalow.
- These homes are often close together.
- Support staff are nearby and can help when needed.
We will ask you:
- What is important to you about where you live
- For example, do you need to be near:
- shops or supermarkets
- your job or day centre
- buses or trains
We will try to match you with people who have similar needs and interests.
