Are you passionate about transforming the lives of children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?

Do you believe in the power of nurturing relationships, high expectations, and a carefully crafted curriculum to help every child thrive?

Keep Hatch Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated SEMH SRP Teacher to join our team from 1st September 2026 and play a pivotal role in our brand-new Specialist Resource Provision. This is a unique opportunity to shape outstanding SEMH practice within a warm, inclusive school community.

About Us

At Keep Hatch Primary School, our vision Aspire – Believe - Achieve underpins everything we do.  We recognise the uniqueness of every child and place the highest importance on promoting wellbeing, confidence, independence and a sense of belonging.

Our curriculum is built around five carefully designed curriculum concepts - our “toolkit for life-long learning”:

Our school values - Happiness, Imagination, Independence, Ambition, Responsibility, Honesty & Integrity, Confidence & Resilience, Respect & Tolerance - are woven through every interaction, every curriculum experience and every classroom.

The Role

As our SEMH SRP Teacher, you will:

  • Lead learning for a small group of pupils with SEMH needs within our Specialist Resource Provision.

  • Deliver a highly personalised, trauma-informed and nurturing curriculum that supports emotional regulation, academic progress and social development.

  • Complete SEMH screening, robust assessments and individualised planning to ensure provision fully meets each pupil’s needs.

  • Create a stable, safe environment through predictable routines, relational practice and strong emotional support.

  • Work closely with families to rebuild trust, strengthen home–school relationships and celebrate children’s achievements.

  • Collaborate with mainstream teachers, senior leaders, specialist partners, external agencies and Educational Psychologists to secure the highest-quality provision.

  • Support pupils’ integration back into mainstream settings where appropriate.

  • Uphold the highest safeguarding standards and model our core values at all times.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a qualified teacher (QTS essential) with experience in SEMH, SEN or inclusive practice.

  • Has a nurturing, calm and relational approach to supporting children with complex needs.

  • Can inspire children to believe in themselves and see their own potential.

  • Communicates effectively, builds trust and works collaboratively with colleagues and families.

  • Can differentiate learning skilfully and deliver a broad, balanced and accessible curriculum.

  • Embraces our vision and values, and is eager to contribute to our whole-school community.

Whether you are an experienced SEMH practitioner or a teacher with a passion for inclusive education, we would love to hear from you.

What We Offer

  • A welcoming school community rooted in compassion, high expectations and pastoral excellence.

  • A strong culture of professional trust, honesty and integrity.

  • Supportive leadership and dedicated time for training, supervision and professional development.

  • Opportunities to grow with the development of our new SRP.

  • A learning environment that embraces creativity, outdoor learning and real-world experiences.

  • A staff team committed to helping every child flourish academically, socially and emotionally.
