The Emmbrook School - Emotional Based School Avoidance (EBSA) Support Worker
The Emmbrook School is seeking a compassionate and proactive EBSA (Emotionally Based School Avoidance) Intervention Support Worker to join our dedicated Inclusion Team. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students who struggle with school attendance due to emotional and mental health challenges.
As part of the Inclusion Team you will work directly with students, families and staff to understand the barriers to attendance and develop personalised, trauma-informed support plans. Your role will include one-to-one mentoring, delivering targeted interventions, supporting reintegration into mainstream lessons, and liaising with external professionals where appropriate. The successful candidate will build trusted relationships and provide a safe, nurturing presence that empowers students to re-engage with their education.
We are looking for someone with experience in supporting young people with social, emotional and mental health needs alongside a calm, empathetic approach and the ability to work flexibly as part of a multi-disciplinary team are essential.
If you are passionate about inclusion and want to be part of a supportive and forward-thinking school community, we would love to hear from you.
