Earley Town Council is opening a new bike workshop, Spokes ETC, at Centrepoint Community Centre focusing on keeping families, leisure riders and commuters on their bikes.

We are looking for an organised and approachable individual to coordinate a team of volunteer bike mechanics and ensure the smooth running of the workshop.

Part-time - approximately 15 hours per week (hours/days to be agreed)

Fixed-term contract - 12 months with the possibility to extend

(self-employed status would be considered for the right candidate)

Experience Skills & Abilities
  • Working or volunteering in a bike workshop environment
  • Repairing and servicing bikes
  • Leading and coordinating a team
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Following Health & Safety procedures
  • Minimum of Cytech Technical One qualification, or a willingness to complete qualification on appointment, required
  • Ability to inspect and diagnose issues with bikes and advise on repairs
  • Communication and teamwork
