Acorns Day Nursery - Nursery Practitioner & Key Person

To work along side the nursery team to provide the children with a stimulating environment to encourage and support child initiated learning by offering appropriate levels of support in a stimulating environment.

You will need to have a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage as you will be involved in planning and developing a balanced programme of activities to support children in their learning.#

To support partnership with families and act as a key worker for a group of children and maintain children’s records and learning journey records.

To work alongside the nursery management team to provide and maintain a high quality of care for the children.

The ideal candidate should be friendly and reliable. A friendly, calm and patient nature.   A good team player with a flexible approach and able to use their initiative.   Good communication and organisational skills required.

Candidates would have a relevant child care Level 2 or 3 qualifications or equivalent. 

The nursery is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment.

A fully enhanced DBS and satisfactory references are required for this role.

NVQ 2 or 3 in Childcare & Education or equivalent.

Candidates require a relevant child care level 3 qualification or equivalent.  

Key Person experience an advantage.
