Report a missed waste collection
Why your waste may not have been collected
- Where you put your waste: Please place your bins or bags at the kerbside (the edge of the pavement). Please do not obstruct the pavement or access for vehicles. If you have an assisted collection, a different collection point, or use a communal bin, follow these instructions.
- When to put your waste out: Take your waste out by 6:30am on your collection day, as collection times can change. On bank holidays, please put it out by 5:30am.
- What you put out: Make sure you use the correct waste container. If your bin has items that shouldn’t be there, it won’t be collected. Remove the wrong items and wait for the next collection.
- How much waste you put out: We can only collect bins that aren’t too heavy, have the lid closed, and are in a Council-approved container.
- Payment for garden waste: If you haven’t paid for garden waste collection, your garden waste won’t be collected.
If the crew have recorded an issue for leaving your waste (for example, it wasn’t put out), we will not return until the next scheduled collection.

Report a missed collection
If your waste wasn’t collected and you think it was missed, please report it by the end of the next working day after the scheduled collection.
If we find no valid reason for leaving your waste behind, we will return and remove it by the end of the next working day after your report.
If our crew recorded a reason for not taking your waste, we will not return until your next scheduled collection.
Leave your waste out for collection.
