Request a dead animal removal

• The Council will remove dead animals located on the adopted highway and on publicly accessible Council-owned land, including car parks and open spaces.
• This service does not extend to Council housing land or properties, which are considered private land. Responsibility for the removal of dead animals from private land rests with the landowner or occupier.
• We will not remove dead animals smaller than a cat.
• We do not remove dead animals from private land. 
• Any domestic animals reported and removed will be checked for identification to help establish an owner. 
• Depending on the state and location of a dead animal, from time to time they can be left to allow nature to take its course.
