Consultation opens on draft Charvil Neighbourhood Plan
Have your say and help shape planning in Charvil parish

Wokingham Borough Council is consulting on a draft neighbourhood plan for Charvil parish and wants your views.
Charvil Parish Council has prepared a neighbourhood plan with the help of the local community. The plan will help guide development in the area, to reflect the aspirations of the community and take account of what makes the area special.
The plan contains a number of policies, including on community facilities; affordable housing and mix; design, the natural and historic environment; and sustainable construction.
It does not include any site allocations for new development; however seven areas are proposed for designation as Local Green Space to recognise their value to the local community.
If it's adopted following independent examination and a referendum, it will be used to help the council determine planning applications and appeals within Charvil parish.
Cllr Stephen Conway, leader of Wokingham Borough Council, said: “The Charvil Neighbourhood Plan will play an important role in shaping how development is managed in Charvil parish. It reflects years of dedicated work by the parish council and local residents to ensure any changes to the local area are carried out in a thoughtful and appropriate way.
“We value your feedback on the draft plan. All comments will be passed to an independent examiner, who will review the plan and supporting documents. Your input can help shape the final version, so please take this opportunity to have your say.”
