The UK’s biggest and longest running tribute festival will be celebrating its 21st birthday at Wokingham Borough’s flagship country park, and now is the final opportunity to enjoy a discount for joining the celebrations.  

Marvellous will be returning to Dinton Pastures Country Park in Hurst from Friday 19 to Sunday 21 July, offering a great variety of entertainment for all ages. Festival-goers can enjoy five per cent off all tickets before Monday 8 July, when booking online.  

Giorgio Framalicco, director of place and growth at Wokingham Borough Council, said: “I warmly welcome the return of Marvellous Festival to the borough. Against the beautiful backdrop of Dinton Pastures, I am confident that this year’s celebrations will bring even more excitement and enjoyment to our residents.”

Peter Lincoln, creative director of Marvellous Festival, said: “It’s the final countdown! All preparations for the festival are being carried out at full steam. We all can’t wait to see everyone at this year’s event for the best weekend of the summer!”

Free activities for children at Marvellous

Entertainment for all ages

This year’s event features 14 world-class tributes, including Taylor Swift, Tina Turner, Adele, Blondie, The Killers, George Michael and more, together with headline performances from The Chicago Blues Brothers on 20 July (Saturday) and Flash – A tribute to Queen on 21 July (Sunday) evening.

Another highlight is the Silent Disco both evenings from 9pm, where you can sing and dance to the music you like by adding a small fee to your ticket. Headphones are in limited quantity and being offered on a first come first served basis.

A music extravaganza cannot be complete without good food and drink. A range of food stalls and fully licensed bars will be present to offer a great selection of fine fare.

To add in family fun, there will be a huge Big Kids’ Village, roaming entertainers and a massive funfair. Children of all ages will find plenty to do with various fairground rides and free activities.

Enjoy nature in comfort

If festival-goers plan to spend the whole weekend at Marvellous, they can choose to reserve a bell tent in the brand-new Glamping Village. All bell tents are well-equipped with necessities such as memory foam mattresses, a low-level table and battery lamps. Glampers will have their own dedicated luxury showers and toilets.  Other facilities include communal fridges, charging stations and a morning coffee van.

A campsite will also be made available to those who want to bring their own tent and pitch up in the country park. The site has hot showers and flushing toilets to make the stay as comfortable as possible.
