Working with businesses during the regeneration
One of the key aspects of Wokingham Town Centre regeneration was to deliver a thriving economic centre, serving the needs of local residents and providing a diverse range of businesses to occupy our units in new and improved spaces.
While investing in the town, we also worked with existing businesses and ensured they had a home in the regeneration.
We’re proud to say there are many stories of local people who have decided to pursue their dream of owning a business right here in Wokingham. They not only have the confidence of being successful, but they also want to help the area thrive, creating hundreds of new jobs and offering unique business models.
Alongside improvements to transport, this has helped to make Wokingham an accessible, desirable place to visit, contributing to an economically successful town centre, with a mix of internationally recognised brands and independent retailers.
We are committed to maintaining and developing our property portfolio, with assets inside and outside the borough. Maximising income from these assets supports us to provide the services that we all rely on.
We’ve spoken to local businesses who have been in town for differing lengths of time and there is a common theme that emerges: Wokingham is an excellent place to do business and this has only been made stronger because of the regeneration.
Watch interviews with our business tenants who tell their story and experiences of running their business in Wokingham Town and their experience of the regeneration.
