National help and support for mental health

  • Papyrus prevention of young suicide - provide confidential help and advice to young people and anyone worried about a young person
  • Young Minds - provides information for both parents and young people
  • The Mix - peer to peer support, telephone counselling
  • Big Deal - information and support related to gambling for yourself or those you care about. You can have a live chat with a specialist Adviser who can offer advice and support.
  • MIND - provides information and advice, training programmes
  • Young Minds - general information about medication
  • SANE - mental health helpline offering specialist emotional support and information to anyone affected by mental illness
  • CALM - helpline is for men who are down or have hit a wall for any reason, who need to talk or find information and support.
  • Youth health talk - information for young people, from young people
  • Childline - helpline, peer support via message board, online chat

Help for unwanted sexual behaviour at school

You don't have to face sexual assault, harassment or abuse at school alone. It's not ok and never your fault. For advice and support contact NSPCC's (National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children) dedicated helpline.
