A key tactic fraudsters use is to put victims under pressure so they make unwise decisions. Fraud prevention organisation “Take five” encourage people to take 5 minutes out of the situation to think before parting with money. They suggest having a cup of tea, talking to a trusted friend if you feel uncomfortable about a situation in order to stay safe.
