Each tutoring company sets their own rates. These range from around £50-90 per hour. However, additions may be made to the base rate depending on the needs of the pupils and their commissioned package of support.

2. Is this rate based on the School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document (STPCD), National Joint Council (NJC) pay scales, or another pay structure? Please specify which scale/point.
We do not hold this information. We are unable to comment on how providers decide upon their base rate.

3. If the council uses agency providers to supply tutors, what hourly rate should those agency tutors be paid after 12 weeks under the Agency Workers Regulations 2010?
The commissioning team are not aware of any agency providers used to supply tutors. All tutors are sourced through known tutoring companies. We do not hold information regarding how they pay agency tutors.

4. Does the council have written policies requiring agency providers to comply with the Agency Workers Regulations 2010 regarding equal pay after 12 weeks?
