1. Please can you advise the following; date the traffic calming icanes were installed around Arborfield Village and how many road traffic accidents have occurred involving them since installation.

2. For comparison could you also advise how may accidents occurred at the locationprior to there installation for the equivalent time frame.

We have record of 7 personal injury accidents in Arborfield between 01/01/2019 and 31/12/2022 (before the traffic calming). One fatal, 2 serious and 4 slight. We have records of 2 personal injury accidents in the same area between 01/01/2023 and 30/11/2025 (since the traffic calming). 1 serious and 1 slight. In both cases, though, most of the collisions were at the roundabout at Arborfield Cross, so would likely not have been impacted by the traffic calming. It is also important to note that whilst we are aware of collisions in the area via customer reports, damage only accidents are not reliably submitted to the Council so are not formally logged.
